SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – August 4, 2017 – Breaking many industry norms, the new faith based movie “A Question of Faith” hopes to become a surprise hit among Christian filmgoers this fall. The movie is the first of its kind in the space to have been produced by an African American female producer—and the first faith based feature for veteran producer Angela White of Silver Lining Entertainment. The film features a well-known cast, a unique and compelling storyline that touches on timely topics such as racial prejudice, the debate surrounding organ donation, while intertwining a strong Christian message. “A Question of Faith” will release from Pure Flix on September 29, 2017 in more than 600 theaters.
The film has been a resounding success in early screenings. “Churches have been resonating with the film’s message and many are buying out multiple screens for opening,” noted White.
“A Question of Faith” features a moving storyline involving three families from different cultures, who live in the same community; they are complete strangers living vastly separate lives until a texting and driving accident thrusts them onto converging paths where they discover God’s love, forgiveness, grace and mercy.
“God’s power is glorified in this film in a way I’ve personally not seen before,” said White. “Audiences will find themselves cheering, singing, crying and praising God when they watch this film.”
The accomplished cast includes Richard T. Jones (“Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married,” “Judging Amy”), Kim Fields (“Facts of Life”), C. Thomas Howell (“The Amazing Spiderman,” “E.T.”), Gregory Alan Williams (“Greenleaf,” “All Saints”), Jaci Velasquez (“I’m Not Ashamed,” Platinum Christian Recording Artist), and T.C. Stallings (“War Room,” “Courageous”).
Synopsis: In “A Question of Faith,” the lives of three families collide when two tragedies strike back to back. All three families find themselves at a crossroads, questioning their faith and the higher power that guides our destinies. Chance encounters with one another lead to a chain of events imminently bringing the families’ worlds closer together, until a moment of truth. But, when the connection is revealed, will the consequences of the aftermath bring them together or tear their faith apart?

Missions Radio Interview with Shauna Amick of Joni and Friends

Before originally joining Joni and Friends New England as a member of the Board of Directors in 2011, Shauna had spent many years serving as a Spokesperson for CareNet Crisis Pregnancy Centers, sharing a firm belief in the value of all life. When Shauna became pregnant with her third child and it was revealed that the baby would be born with Down syndrome, a near fatal heart defect, and a slew of other genetic abnormalities, she was presented with an opportunity to prove that what she had been saying she believed was true. After her daughter’s birth, Shauna and her family were in need of support and the fellowship that can only come from others in the disability community, and they were welcomed into Joni and Friends first as family members needing help and hope. When she saw how Joni and Friends shared her passion for speaking up on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves, she was happy to join the ministry in a professional capacity, as well.

Missions Radio with David Butts Chairman of The National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer Events Spark Interest in Freedom to Pray

Non-Profit Organization Working to Stop T-Mobile from Corporate Greed

Millions of individuals around the country will meet together in both small and large groups and communities this week to lift the nation in prayer on the annual National Day of Prayer May 4. Religious leaders such as Anne Graham Lotz and Dave Butts will gather for the National Observance in Washington, D.C., from 7:30 – 9 p.m. Thursday evening.

Others who can’t gather in person will call to participate via phone on free conference call-in lines with other prayer warriors to answer the call to prayer.

However, for many of those who call in to free prayer conference lines who happen to be T-Mobile customers, they will hear a message telling them that they will be charged an additional $.01 per minute to participate in that call.

T-Mobile began adding these extra fees a few months ago, effectively curtailing nationwide prayer call participation for many of the hundreds of thousands of individuals using this technology for spiritual connection.

Freedom to Pray is a grassroots effort that was launched to bring attention to T-Mobile’s egregious actions and provide a means of response for faithful prayer warriors and the individuals and groups who support them. Individuals can advocate against T-Mobile and on behalf of keeping prayer lines free for everyone, including people of all faiths, by signing the petition at, and following many of the other suggestions listed on the website for taking action.

Individuals available to comment on Freedom to Pray include:

Dave Butts, president of Harvest Prayer Ministries and chairman of the board for the National Day of Prayer. He oversees multiple free prayer calls through his ministry, and knows of countless individuals who have had to give up participation in these collective gatherings since T-Mobile started adding such charges. He believes this is an attack on the right to exercise faith freely and that T-Mobile is out of line in trying to impede religious freedom.

Kay Horner, executive director of the Helper Connection and Awakening America Alliance, which encourages and helps arrange national and local prayer events and prayer conference lines to bring about spiritual transformation in our nation. Kay is passionate about helping people of faith unite in these efforts, and is greatly saddened by T-Mobile’s actions which restrict that participation.

Thursday, May 5

Local event details available here:

Freedom to Pray spokespersons are available via phone throughout the day

The nation’s first call to prayer occurred in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation. Prayer has remained a vital element in our nation’s history, especially important to leaders such as President Lincoln, who proclaimed of a day of “humiliation, fasting, and prayer” in 1863. The official National Day of Prayer was signed into law by a joint resolution of the United States Congress in 1952, and continues today as an interfaith gathering in the Capitol and on courthouse steps around the nation.

Freedom to Pray is a response to our nation’s continued need of prayer and a way to advocate for those who participate via phone but have had this freedom curtailed by T-Mobile’s excess charges.  The Freedom to Pray website,, will allow users to sign an online petition expressing concern about T-Mobile’s attack on prayer, requesting a call to action. In addition, social media tools will be available for easy sharing with friends and family so that they, too, may become informed and involved in efforts to #KeepPrayerFree.

Missions Radio Interview with Tom Stewart, Author of “The Broken Scout a Story of Abuse and Redemption”

The Broken SCOUT

A Story of Abuse and Redemption

In his tell-all memoir, The Broken Scout: A Story of Abuse and Redemption (Redemption Press, April 4, 2017), Stewart reveals never-before-told details of the childhood stolen from him by his abuser, bringing readers along his journey through the physical abuse, its psychological aftermath, cancer, divorce and the loss of a child, revealing how his faith in God led to healing, redemption, and forgiveness.

“I never imagined my own life story was going to be published with its dramatic themes of horrific abuse, chaos, and tragedy,” writes Stewart. “I embrace the compassion that my difficult circumstances have given me. I’ve learned how to understand the weary, the weak, and the faint—because I was one of them.”

Conditioned to obey without question by a proud, domineering mother, Tom was brainwashed, abused, and threatened with a gun by his Scout leader. Ten years of hidden abuse set the stage for chaos in his personal relationships, and the fallout in his family as an adult. This inspiring first-person story takes the reader beyond the abuse to Tom’s lifelong challenges of dealing with the aftermath as a man. From helping bring Boy Scouts of America to accountability and justice, to surviving cancer and family upheavals, including divorce, drug abuse, and tragedy, Tom Stewart relied on his faith in God to see him through.

Missions Radio Interview with author, Deven Wallace “The Warrior We Call Mom”

Let me first say this is a book that any and all mothers should have and read..It will change your perspective, in a great way.

There is a spiritual war raging against the next generation. Through her new book, The Warrior We Call Mom, Deven Wallace urges moms to break out of the box of “normal” and dare to be led by the Spirit in their day-to-day parenting. Bolstered by scriptural examples, this book identifies the Spirit-led mothers of the Bible and inspires modern-day moms to raise their children to have a passion for God.

Discussing topics such as how to restore a wayward child and how to “clothe” rather than control, Wallace expounds on how to respond to the spiritual attacks against this rising generation of children. She emphasizes the value in shaping children through godly discipline and decision-making, pinpointing the power of godly words and spiritual growth.

Missions Radio Interview with Walker Wildmon of American Family Association

Missions Radio Interview with Author Michelle McClain-Walters “The Anna Anointing”

In the Bible the prophetess Anna persisted in fasting and prayer until the revelation of Jesus on the earth for the first time. Now in preparation for the Lord’s second coming, prophetess Michelle McClain-Walters’s new book, The Anna Anointing, teaches our generation of women how to operate in a similar anointing as Anna.

Highlighting four keys for stirring the gifts and activating the Anna anointing, this book will help readers to boldly change their lives and those they influence by developing an ear to hear God’s heart. Women can reach a new level of power, strength, insight, and vision for the plan that God has for their lives.  Filled by the spirit of grace and supplication, women can proclaim the gospel to an increasingly humanistic society.

“This radical call to women to be influential and powerful will require training and equipping. It will involve sacrifice and faith to believe God in the face of adversity and opposition,” McClain-Walters says. “God calls us to embrace His future with such a passion that even the present can be given up for that promised future. God calls us to trust the promise giver, who is a promise keeper, with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.”

Missions Radio Interview with Best Selling Author Joel Rosenberg

A very insightful interview on the interpretation of Islamic Radicalism and how it should be addressed by President Trump with Joel Rosenberg

Best Selling Author Urges President Trump To Deliver Major Address
Defining 'Radical Islamic Terrorism'
As the President rallies coalition of 68 nations in Washington today
to work together more closely to defeat the Islamic State,
new poll reveals Americans want their leaders to define the enemy
A new survey commissioned by Middle East expert and New York Timesbestselling author Joel C. Rosenberg reveals Americans believe we are losing the war against the Islamic State and fear ISIS is preparing to launch catastrophic terror attacks inside the homeland. The poll also reveals Americans want their leaders to define the nature of the enemy we face.

"Mr. Trump is the first president in American history to use the phrase 'radical Islamic terrorism,' which he referred to in his Inaugural Address and his Joint Address to Congress," said Joel C. Rosenberg, author of Without Warning, a political thriller that provides a fictional look into what could happen if leaders do not take seriously the threats of our enemies and are blindsided by a series of catastrophic terror attacks by ISIS inside the American homeland."Neither Presidents Bush nor Obama chose to use this term.

Missions Radio Interview with John Boyd of Missions Aviation Fellowship

This is one of my favorite interviews, out of hundreds, so far..I love what Missions Aviation Fellowship stands for and what they do, every hour of everyday..This is a must hear.

You'll find MAF in the hardest-to-reach locations, where people live isolated from the rest of the world, cut off from the most basic necessities. Our highly trained pilots maneuver Cessna and KODIAK aircraft through rugged terrain. And while passengers might hold their breath, MAF pilots skillfully land at short, unimproved airstrips on the sides of mountains, in jungle clearings, or on tropical rivers—to bring medicine and doctors, disaster relief, education, evangelists, Bible translators, food supplies, agriculture and clean water projects, and more. Why do we do it? Because we’re passionate about sharing Christ's love beyond where the road ends

Missions Radio Interview with Athena Dean Holtz

From a young age, Athena Dean Holtz chased affirmation and attention from all the wrong sources, leaving her empty and alone. A victim of physical abuse and spiritual deception, she was deceived by Scientology, forays into mysticism and 12 years in a restrictive and legalistic cult, she lost everything—her marriage, relationships, home, business, money and reputation. In her forthcoming book Full Circle: Coming Home to the Faithfulness of God (Redemption Press, Feb. 27, 2017), Holtz candidly tells her story of self-discovery, redemption and freedom as she surrendered to Jesus.

“This is the story of how God brought me full circle,” writes Holtz. “How he brought me home . . . to a place I had always longed for, but never knew how to find.”

In Full Circle, Holtz vulnerably shares her journey and gives readers a front-row seat to her story of a shattered life restored. An important story for anyone who has questioned his or her worth or direction; Holtz proves that anyone who believes God and invites Him to join in their trials welcomes the result of His triumph. Full Circle offers not only her life story but biblical answers to the raw questions she asked during the peaks and valleys of her life.

“Knowing how much God loves me, I am finding my significance in Him rather than in what I do or with whom I am associated.”

Missions Radio Interview with Dr. Del Tackett..One Night Showing “Is Genesis History?”

WHAT               In the enlightening new documentary, IS GENESIS HISTORY?, Dr. Del Tackett leads audiences on a remarkable journey through evidence supporting historic claims in the Book of Genesis with renowned scientists and Bible scholars.

WHO                Featuring host Dr. Del Tackett, creator of The Truth Project, IS GENESIS HISTORY?, from Compass Cinema, is produced and directed by Thomas Purifoy, Jr.

WHEN              In cinemas for one night Thursday, February 23, at 7 p.m. local time, from Fathom Events.

SYNOPSIS       Traveling across the continent, Dr. Del Tackett talks to experts in geology, biology, astronomy, archaeology, the Bible and more—seeking answers to centuries-long questions surrounding the book of Genesis:

  • Was the universe created in six literal days?
  • Did humans evolve?
  • Were Adam and Eve real?
  • Was there a global flood?
  • What happened to the dinosaurs?

From immense available evidence about our origins, two histories arise. But which is correct? IS GENESIS HISTORY? presents a positive, evidenced-based case for the Bible’s historical reliability.

On both sides, discussions of life’s origins quickly turn negative. In the

exciting new documentary, IS GENESIS HISTORY?, Director Thomas

Purifoy, Jr. takes another road, laying out conversational, understandable

specifics for the Book of Genesis as history. Ask Purifoy and Dr. Del Tackett

about the importance of history in this debate, especially as it relates to the Bible and science.

Seeing his 10-year-old daughter lose certainty about the Bible’s historical reliability, filmmaker Thomas Purifoy, Jr. realized he couldn’t clearly explain his own beliefs. And from that “Ah ha” came this feature-length documentary. Ask Purifoy about the seminal conversation with his 10-year-old, and what he discovered in his search to understand how these issues relate to students.

The evidence isn’t new, but our ability to analyze and decipher it grows at the speed of technology. How do new data and new discoveries send us back for another perspective on longstanding evidence?

A lot of Christians may wonder why Genesis matters to our lives. Is it really a big deal to think the earth is old, or that humans evolved? Ask Purifoy and Dr. Del Tackett about the importance of Genesis to our lives today.

Missions Radio Interview with John Finch of “The Father Effect”

John Finch grew up the youngest of 3 boys in a suburb of Dallas where he lost his father to suicide at age 11. As a young man, John did anything he could to avoid confronting the wounds he suffered as a result of being fatherless. His craving for affirmation from a father who was not there to provide it, led him to seek that affirmation from the world in many unhealthy ways. In an attempt to find value as a man, he created a false persona that left him completely unfulfilled. His life was based on the pursuit of money in order to prove his success and he became a social alcoholic as he strived to be the life of every party and gain the attention of those around him.

It was only when John realized and dealt with the unresolved issues of his father wound that he was able to become truly fulfilled. On April 10th, 2009, he finally came face to face with the issues that drove him to seek approval from a father who was not there to give it to him. By forgiving his father and recognizing what it truly means to be a man by God’s standard, he became a new man, husband and father.

John seeks to break down the barriers that prevent men and women from addressing deep rooted anger and hurt from the wounds they have suffered in this life by candidly and openly sharing his story, his failings, and his path to a new way of life. John’s mission is to educate, encourage and equip men to become the fathers they were created to be, and to help men walk in daily awareness of their significant and lifelong influence as fathers. Through The Father Effect Movie, John shares stories and messages that will move viewers to a new awareness about the everlasting impact of fathers and the importance of forgiveness and openness in the relationships of this world.

John has been married for 21 years and has three beautiful daughters. He is incredibly thankful for the second chance to be a father and husband who can offer himself to those he loves without the burden of the bitterness and anger that overshadowed his life for so many years.

Pure Flix & NHCLC Join Forces to Increase
Hispanic Presence in Film Industry
Global partnership aligns vision, influence, assets & resources
to develop faith & family media
DALLAS, Nov. 7, 2016 – During a Facebook Live event on Friday, Nov. 4, Pure Flix COO Steve Fedyski and Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances Franklin Santagate, announced with Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC)/CONEL, a formal partnership between the No. 1 Christian production studio in the world, Pure Flix, and the world's largest Hispanic Christian organization, NHCLC.

Although Latinos purchase 25 percent of all movie tickets sold, recent studies show that Latino community is one of the least represented population segments in speaking roles in film and television; in 2015, there was only one Latino-centric film released by a major studio.
"Hispanics engage movies more than any other ethnic group in America; however, there is this issue with the content and depictions of the Latino community that has not been well-represented," said Rev. Rodriguez. "We aren't all gang bangers. We're not all narco-traffickers from Latin America. We are God-fearing, hard-working people. This alliance will expose our community and engage us in a way we've never been able to before."
The organizations have committed to a long-term exclusive strategic alliance for five years that aligns common vision, influence, assets and resources to develop faith and family media.
