Missions Radio with Aaron Perry of Radiance Ministries

May 13th, 2017

A wonderful interview with Aaron Perry, the Founder and President of Radiance Ministries. AS we discuss the last missions trip to Southeast Asia and the wonderful work that the team saw God do in their presence and among the people..From thousand of salvations to many being healed and set free from the bondages of sin.

We are a group longing to see a young generation begin to walk in the presence of Christ and radiate His light among the lost. Creating a culture to release His presence wherever he or she goes; releasing life, love, and power!

Our desire is to awaken the hearts of every believer with the power of the Gospel of Jesus, through training, activation, and equipping of biblical teachings. An important part of making disciples is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and activating the gifts inside of every Christian.

Here’s The Deal with Larry Tomczak ” A Fascinating Friendship Crushed Communism and Averted Nuclear War”

May 8th, 2017

"I don't know what weapons would be used to fight World War III, but IV would be settled with sticks and stones."

     - Albert Einstein

USA TODAY ran this front page headline recently: "World War III: Americans are Thinking About the Unthinkable" [May 3, 2017]. Data from Google searches shows incredible spikes for - you guessed it - “World War III.” And the Doomsday clock is now as close as it’s ever been to midnight.

Not long ago there was a similar situation but it was providentially avoided because of the friendship of two outstanding leaders. Can you guess who they were?

This is the absolutely amazing account of two of history's greatest leaders and their bond of friendship that changed the world and averted a nuclear nightmare. Both are gone but their story is worthy of reflection in these tense times.

Ronald Reagan was one of America's greatest presidents and his stature is sorely missed. Think for a moment on his victory margin in the 1984 election of 525 to 13 electoral votes as he won 49 of 50 states!

Here’s The Deal with Larry Tomczak ” Should Christians Attend or Avoid Upcoming Gay Pride Events?

May 1st, 2017

Christians are often accused of being reactive versus proactive. Instead of anticipating an opportunity, we oftentimes miss chances to be “salt” and “light”, in today’s world.

Publicity is currently underway for "Gay Pride" events in cities across America. "Coming to a theater near you" are well-funded programs promoting the LGBTQ agenda. A generation ago, the idea of citywide celebrations featuring homosexual, lesbian and transgender themes was basically unheard of except in some liberal locations.

Not anymore! Since former President Barack Obama declared June as the first "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Month" in 2009, there has been an explosion of gay-oriented festivities in cities across America. As President, he was a passionate, advocate for gay-related issues and helped legitimize a lifestyle that previously was identified with sin, shame and social stigma.

When we hear about upcoming gay pride activities in our city, what should we do?

Parent Pump Radio – "Marijuana Edibles: Can You Spot the Pot?" (Show #26)

Marijuana edibles can come in brownies, candies, chocolate bars, chips, cookies, drinks, snacks, spreads and more.  Edibles account for nearly half of accidental exposures. About twice as many kids visited the Children’s Hospital Colorado emergency room per year in 2014 and 2015 as did in years prior to the opening of recreational marijuana stores.

Colorado’s laws on labeling and child-resistant packaging have been unable to stop an increase of young kids ending up in the emergency room after accidentally consuming marijuana.

Our Guest is Frederick Payo.  He is an expert on the subject of marijuana, marijuana edibles and substance abuse.  He is the Community Organizer for the Community Prevention Team of the Asian American Drug Abuse Program (AADAP). Missions Radio Interview with Anthony Hopp of Samaritans Ministry International

April 25th, 2017

A wonderful interview with Anthony about aspects of medical cost sharing in a community of believers.

Anthony Hopp is the vice president for external relations for Samaritan Ministries International, one of the largest and most established health care sharing ministries in the country.

Biblical community

Samaritan Ministries members are a group of believers that have come together in Biblical community to help bear one another’s medical burdens without the use of health insurance.

Uniting the Body

The community of believers comes together as one Body to assist members in need. This way, individual believers are connected to the larger Body of Christ as they give and receive financial, emotional, and spiritual support.

April 25th, 2017

“By perseverance the snail reached the Ark.”
– Charles Spurgeon

To excel at anything in life, we have to learn to handle adversity and persevere when it’s easier to quit. Long-term success is only achieved by persistence.

Recall the timeless quote by President Calvin Coolidge: “Nothing in the world will take the place of persistence. Talent will not; the world is full of unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ told us a parable about a sower planting seed (Lk.8:1-15). He stated emphatically that it was only by “persevering” that an individual will eventually produce a crop. The problem is many of us throw in the towel prematurely and as a result don’t find the achievement and success for which we long.

One of the very best contemporary examples of this character trait is Christian athlete Tim Tebow. He’s currently drawing fans in droves to watch him play professional baseball in a late-in-life career change in Columbia, South Carolina.

Here’s The Deal with Larry Tomczak ” Will Your Child’s School Silently Promote the LGBTQ Agenda This Friday?

April 18th, 2017

"And do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness; instead, expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret" (Eph. 5:11-12).

"The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next." —Abraham Lincoln

This Friday is a big day in thousands of elementary schools, middle and high schools, colleges and universities across America. GLSEN (The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) laments losing Obama helping them but they cling to their nationwide, yearly event highlighting the LGBTQ lifestyle to impressionable children and youth.

This national LGBTQ advocacy group, like Planned Parenthood, is extremely tense at present due to the politically incorrect, more conservative Trump Administration. The appointment of strong Christians like Jeff Sessions to attorney general and Betsy DeVos as secretary of education, along with Vice President Mike Pence, has its leadership up in arms.

Here’s The Deal with Larry Tomczak ” 41 Years Prove 4 Essentials Can Divorce-Proof Your Marriage”

April 11th, 2017

Don't believe it when people say that in America divorce is declining. The reality is that divorce as a percentage of marriages appears to be less because countless millions are simply living together and not getting married.

A whopping 76 percent of young Americans believe living together before marriage is fine. Sixty-five percent of "altar bound" singles—many of whom identify as "Christians"—live together before marriage, a euphemism for lifestyle fornication.

The latest development is Baby Boomers, 50 and up, cohabiting (an increase of 75 percent since 2007) as splits have doubled since the 1990s. This is being labeled "gray divorce."

What is shameful is that America, supposedly a predominately "Christian" nation places in the top 10 list of countries with the most divorces each year. We actually register having one divorce every six seconds. Understand why we so desperately need a spiritual awakening?

Missions Radio Interview with author, Deven Wallace “The Warrior We Call Mom”

April 10th, 2017

Let me first say this is a book that any and all mothers should have and read..It will change your perspective, in a great way.

There is a spiritual war raging against the next generation. Through her new book, The Warrior We Call Mom, Deven Wallace urges moms to break out of the box of “normal” and dare to be led by the Spirit in their day-to-day parenting. Bolstered by scriptural examples, this book identifies the Spirit-led mothers of the Bible and inspires modern-day moms to raise their children to have a passion for God.

Discussing topics such as how to restore a wayward child and how to “clothe” rather than control, Wallace expounds on how to respond to the spiritual attacks against this rising generation of children. She emphasizes the value in shaping children through godly discipline and decision-making, pinpointing the power of godly words and spiritual growth.

Missions Radio Interview with Author Michelle McClain-Walters “The Anna Anointing”

April 4th, 2017

In the Bible the prophetess Anna persisted in fasting and prayer until the revelation of Jesus on the earth for the first time. Now in preparation for the Lord’s second coming, prophetess Michelle McClain-Walters’s new book, The Anna Anointing, teaches our generation of women how to operate in a similar anointing as Anna.

Highlighting four keys for stirring the gifts and activating the Anna anointing, this book will help readers to boldly change their lives and those they influence by developing an ear to hear God’s heart. Women can reach a new level of power, strength, insight, and vision for the plan that God has for their lives.  Filled by the spirit of grace and supplication, women can proclaim the gospel to an increasingly humanistic society.

“This radical call to women to be influential and powerful will require training and equipping. It will involve sacrifice and faith to believe God in the face of adversity and opposition,” McClain-Walters says. “God calls us to embrace His future with such a passion that even the present can be given up for that promised future. God calls us to trust the promise giver, who is a promise keeper, with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.”

Here’s The Deal with Larry Tomczak ” Has the ‘Relevant’ Gospel Compromised Kingdom Culture?”

April 4th, 2017

"I believe it's a great mistake to present Christianity as something charming and popular with no offense to it." —Dorothy Sayers, author

In our local church, Bible teacher Ray McCollum is leading us in an exposition of the greatest teaching ever given by the greatest teacher who ever lived. Here Jesus, in His masterpiece Sermon on the Mount, succinctly lays out in an orderly fashion exactly what is the normal Christian life.

Who Are Real Believers?

They are "poor in spirit ... mourn ... meek ... hunger and thirst for righteousness ... merciful... pure in heart ... peacemakers" (Matt. 5:1-9).

What Will Happen to Them?

They will be "persecuted for righteousness sake" (v. 10).

How Do They Affect the World?

They will be the "salt of the earth" and "light of the world" (vv. 13-15).

to work together more closely to defeat the Islamic State,
new poll reveals Americans want their leaders to define the enemy

"Mr. Trump is the first president in American history to use the phrase 'radical Islamic terrorism,' which he referred to in his Inaugural Address and his Joint Address to Congress," said Joel C. Rosenberg, author of Without Warning, a political thriller that provides a fictional look into what could happen if leaders do not take seriously the threats of our enemies and are blindsided by a series of catastrophic terror attacks by ISIS inside the American homeland."Neither Presidents Bush nor Obama chose to use this term.

Missions Radio Interview with John Boyd of Missions Aviation Fellowship

March 28th, 2017

This is one of my favorite interviews, out of hundreds, so far..I love what Missions Aviation Fellowship stands for and what they do, every hour of everyday..This is a must hear.

You'll find MAF in the hardest-to-reach locations, where people live isolated from the rest of the world, cut off from the most basic necessities. Our highly trained pilots maneuver Cessna and KODIAK aircraft through rugged terrain. And while passengers might hold their breath, MAF pilots skillfully land at short, unimproved airstrips on the sides of mountains, in jungle clearings, or on tropical rivers—to bring medicine and doctors, disaster relief, education, evangelists, Bible translators, food supplies, agriculture and clean water projects, and more. Why do we do it? Because we’re passionate about sharing Christ's love beyond where the road ends

Here’s The Deal with Larry Tomczak ” The Collapse of Comedy in America is No Joking Matter”

March 27th, 2017

“The devil pulls the strings which makes us dance;

       he finds delight in the most loathsome things;

some furtherance of Hell each new day brings,

and yet we feel no horror in that rank advance.”

-  Charles Baudelaire, French poet

Growing up, did you enjoy humor and laughter, especially as you watched TV shows with your favorite characters? Andy, Barney and Opie…Wally and the “Beav”…Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel…Rob and Laura Petrie…Jed, Granny and Mr. Drysdale…

God ordained comedy.  “Joy is the serious business of heaven,” wrote C.S. Lewis. Scripture reveals that Jesus was actually the happiest person who ever lived!  The Father anointed Him “…with the oil of gladness more than Your companions” (Heb. 1:9).
